HOW MINDFULNESS CAN HELP OVERCOME PAIN PILL ADDICTION

There is an ever-growing body of research that indicates that mindfulness is a very useful treatment for addiction as well as for pain management.

In this interview—there is a transcript as well—Dr Eric Garland [pictured right], a clinical researcher and practising licensed psychotherapist at the University of Utah, describes how psychotherapists at the University are using mindfulness techniques to retrain the brain against pain pill addiction.
